Alumni Spotlight: Justina Yeung '17

Justina Yeung '17 first began table tennis lessons at the age of 8, and became the Canadian Champion a few short years later at the age of 13. Since then, Justina has reached the podium at nearly all the events she has competed in, including the North American Championships and World Junior Circuits, with her highest record at one Canadian Championships being 7 medals out of the 8 categories she competed in. Justina was 1 of 2 Canadian girls on the North American team at the 2014 World Cadet Challenge, and in 2015 she contributed 2 gold medals to Ontario in the Canada Winter Games for Doubles and Teams events. This past June she was a bronze medalist for Junior Doubles and Teams in the inaugural Panamerican Junior Championships. To date, she has qualified to be on Team Canada at 3 World Junior Championships and 3 World Senior Championships with her fourth World Juniors just around the corner in November. Justina is currently supported by Canada Card and continues to train and qualify for the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2018 World Senior Championships during her time as a student at the University of Toronto in the Life Sciences programme.
