Our graduates enjoy a 99.6% acceptance rate to 4-year degree granting institutions; most students tend to be accepted into the majority of the universities to which they apply. Given the highly competitive nature of university entrance, as well as the fact that most students change their minds about their first choice as the year evolves, we encourage students to thoroughly research and consider several schools where they will be happy and successful.

Recognizing Our Grads

Bayview Glen maintains high standards in order to prepare every student for a promising future. Our graduates have gone on to attend a wide variety of universities in Canada, the United States and abroad.

Highlights of the Year 2009

  • Scholarship offers to the graduating class amounted to over $300,000
  • Collectively, the graduating class completed more than 3,200 hours of Community Service
  • Four graduating students represented the school at the Round Square International Conference in Victoria, to engage in discussions and activities about the environment, the conference’s theme
  • Three graduating students were part of the computing team that participated in the Central Regional Provincial Championship, which then qualified for the Provincial Championships, a first for an independent school team
  • Two graduating students finished in the top three at the provincial DECA Business competition, earning the right to represent Bayview Glen and Canada at the international competition in California, where they earned medals
  • One graduating student was the recipient of the Doris McCarthy Scholarship at the Ontario College of Art & Design, which recognizes the top first-year student admitted to the institution
  • In 2009, a remarkable 161 Advanced Placement exams were written in 13 different subjects by 87 of our students. 11 students were AP Scholars, 3 were AP Scholar with Honours, 1 was AP Scholar with Distinction, and 4 were AP Scholars with Distinction and National Scholar Canada.
