| Textbook Programme – School Year 2010-2011
The Parent Guild at Bayview Glen provides an online textbook ordering service for our Grade 7 to 12 students. We purchase directly from publishers, which allows for competitive prices with the added convenience of saving you the time and effort to locate each book. We will also resell your used textbooks so as to encourage the environmental principles of reducing and reusing, while at the same time benefitting parents by offering books at reduced prices and also allowing other parents to recover some of the investment on books from the previous year.
Please remember that this programme is fully run by Bayview Glen parent volunteers. If you have a couple of hours to spare during June, July or August, please don’t hesitate to contact us at: guildinformation@bayviewglen.ca
Ordering Your Books
Before ordering your books online, please download a textbook list for review and define your purchase needs based on mandatory and elective courses - use your course codes to help determine which books you will need. Course codes not listed on the Textbook Order Form either do not require a textbook or may be supplied by the teachers. Please contact Student Services Office for any course information.
Some textbooks are not yet available and therefore they may have not been confirmed (TBC). Reserve a copy if you are taking the course, as these are required textbooks for your course.
All late, or back ordered books will be distributed to students in September. Your teachers will be aware of back ordered textbooks.
Submit your order no later than June 11, 2010. Textbook orders are filled on a “first-received, first-served” basis. Get your order in early! Orders received after June 11, 2010 will be subject to a $15.00 late fee. If you are not sure about your course, rather than handing in your order late, send it in and advise us of any additions/changes. New students are not subject to this late fee.

Selling Your Used Books on Consignment
Before you start, please download the consignment form corresponding to the grade level of the books you want to bring in.
2010-2011 Textbook Consignment Forms (<--downloadable PDF files) Grade 7 Grade 8 Grade 9 Grade 10 Grade 11 Grade 12
Check that your used textbook is listed in the Used Book Consignment Form. The ISBN number should coincide. This is very important, as we cannot resell books that will no longer be used in the School; however, we will be glad to accept any textbook as a donation.
When the books are dropped off, labels will be provided to code each book. In 2010/2011, we will be using student numbers to track ownership of the books. Correct payment and address information must be filled in on the form to ensure payment once the books have been sold.
