Charitable Donation to Bayview Glen Annual Fund

Your donations to the Annual Fund enhance the student experience above what is covered by tuition. It supports programs and resources that not only have an immediate benefit for current students, but a lasting impact on the teaching and learning at our school. If you are able, a gift of $1,200 per student is suggested; all contributions are greatly appreciated and make a difference for our school community. Bayview Glen is a registered charity (#119163434 RR0001) and will provide a Canadian charitable tax receipt for your donation. Through a partnership with FRISBE, you may receive a U.S. charitable tax receipt for your donation. If you have questions about how your giving will have an impact at Bayview Glen, please email Taylor Jennings in the Development Office at tjennings@bayviewglen.ca.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Students attending Bayview Glen in Grades 6 through 12 are welcome to apply to write scholarship exams in February. Successful students are awarded $2,000 toward next year’s school fees.

Bayview Glen believes that cost should not stand in the way of receiving an exceptional education. Financial support is offered to ensure an inclusive and accessible learning environment. This is awarded to families in the form of a bursary. Bursaries are awarded on a needs basis and are confidential. Applications must be made to Apple Financial Services, a third-party organization, who will review the supporting documentation and make a recommendation to the school. This is then reviewed by the Financial Committee for a final decision.

  • Applications to Apple Financial are independent from applications to Bayview Glen.
  • All families are advised to apply to Apple as soon as possible as it can be a lengthy process and funds are limited. We recommend all applications are submitted to Apple by December 1 each year.
  • The awarded bursary is for one school year only. Families must reapply each year for further consideration.
  • Financial assistance is available for both new and returning families.
  • Visit https://www.applefinancialservices.ca/ to submit your application.

FAQ:

  • Who is eligible for financial assistance?
All families, new and returning, can apply for financial assistance.
  • How do we apply for financial assistance?
All applications are made through Apple Financial and should be completed by December 1. Please note, separated or divorced parents must complete separate, confidential applications.
  • What is the typical amount awarded in Financial Assistance?
The amount varies as each application is reviewed individually and is based on family circumstances and capability.
  • Is Financial Assistance guaranteed each year?
No, new applications must be made each year as circumstances may change.
  • What factors are considered when awarding financial assistance?
Decisions are made based on individual family need and income. Apple Financial review supporting documents and make a recommendation to Bayview Glen which is then reviewed by the Finance Committee. It is generally expected that families, as much as possible, will take primary responsibility for supporting their children’s education. Not all applications result in a bursary being awarded.
