Career Breakfast on Applied Science and Kinesiology
Two talented alumni speakers, Dr. Michael Williams-Bell ’00 and Karima Dharssi ’02, returned to Bayview Glen on Tuesday, March 7 for our last Career Breakfast of the school year in the field of Applied Science and Kinesiology. Michael graduated from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) with the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Bioscience, and he is currently a Professor in the Fitness and Health Promotion programme at Durham College, and an Adjunct Professor/Lecturer in the Faculty of Health Sciences at UOIT. Karima is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.) and is currently working as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Arup, with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. They shared valuable insights, knowledge and passion with current students and parents on various topics related to Health Sciences and Engineering.
All three Career Breakfasts were great successes and featured inspirational alumni speakers. We hope you can join us at the Career Breakfasts next year.
