Career Breakfast on Business and Finance
On Tuesday, December 4, Nicole Peirce ’08 and Rafi Saeed ’09 returned to Bayview Glen as alumni speakers at our second Career Breakfast, and shared their insights in the Business and Finance industry with our current students and parents from the Prep and Upper School community.
Nicole shared her top three pieces of advice – try everything possible, nurture quality relationships, and embrace opportunities outside of your comfort zone. She reminisced about Ms. Jessup encouraging her to join the swim team, which evidently lead her to enter the University of New Mexico with a swimming scholarship and competing at the NCAA level seven years later. Rafi greatly enjoyed his post-secondary experience at Queen's University and remembered his high school days participating in DECA and how that impacted his future choices. His advice to our students is not to chase titles/promotions or money, but to chase the skills that opportunities can provide you.
Thank you to our two talented alumni for their involvement and support of our school community. The last Career Breakfast of the school year is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. in the Learning Commons at our Moatfield Campus. Please stay tuned for more details. We look forward to seeing you at our next Career Breakfast.
