After graduating from Bayview Glen in 2004, Christopher Flora entered into the Computer Engineering co-operative programme at the University of Waterloo. Wen-Hao Lue studied Software Engineering at University of Waterloo and graduated in 2014. During university he created Mantaphrase, a phrasebook app for travellers, and Mixbox, an interactive remixing app for iPad. He won pitch and business competition awards such as the Norman Esch Entrepreneurship Award and Velocity Demo Day Awards for Mixbox and Mantaphrase. The first Bayview Glen Alumni Wine Education Workshop on Thursday, March 1 was a great success. Over 30 alumni and their guests gathered at our Moatfield Campus in the J.T.M. Guest Theatre with sommelier Bernard Stramwasser to learn about the fundamentals of wine tasting, how wine is made and differences between red and white wine. Klement Yeung '14 made his first appearance at the Canadian Championships at the age of 10, earning two gold medals. He later went on to collect 9 gold medals among 16 podium finishes in this annual tournament and earned the title of North American Champion twice, and two more podium finishes in international Junior Team events. Justina Yeung '17 first began table tennis lessons at the age of 8, and became the Canadian Champion a few short years later at the age of 13. Since then, Justina has reached the podium at nearly all the events she has competed in, including the North American Championships and World Junior Circuits, with her highest record at one Canadian Championships being 7 medals out of the 8 categories she competed in. Daniel Shehori '93 spent three years in Australia after graduating from Bayview Glen and visited other parts of the world before coming home Toronto and working with the Second City theatre. Daniel is now working with his brother Steven Shehori. On December 8, Mr. Hammond visited Western University and connected with a group of recent graduates studying there. Mr. Hammond also met with an alumna Samantha Lee '08 who is working as a professional accompanist with the Faculty of Music at Western University.

On November 14-15, Mr. Hammond returned to Vancouver for the third BVG Network annual regional visit, and connected with graduates studying at the University of British Columbia, including Michelle Warner '14, Madeline Yeskoo '15, Jessica Wickett '16 and Diana Purcaru '17. In addition, Mr. Hammond has connected with two alumni currently working in Vancouver: Brandon Chung '07 as Judicial Law Clerk with BC Court of Appeal, and Victoria Lee '08 as Software Engineer with Apple.
