As the kettle boiled for afternoon tea and visitors sampled sandwiches, students lined up to have their picture taken wearing helmets and soldier’s jackets from the Great War.  Grade 10 History teacher Anthony Chuter partnered with the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa to arrange the shipment of 24 artifacts to be shared with Bayview Glen students.  The study of World War One is part of the Grade 10 curriculum. For Ryan Valentino, cooking is a passion that started from a very young age. She’s been officially “operating” the family stove since the age of 5 and regularly watches cooking shows for her own inspiration. Douglas Armour was on a mission.  He wanted to surprise his brother, who lives in Vancouver, with something special for his birthday.  A drive by Bayview Glen was all the inspiration he needed.  Douglas had an idea.  He remembered that his brother was extremely fond of his little red bag he received as a young child from the Bayview Glen Day camp.  (the bag is now officially a Preschool must have item). After his parents downsized from their Toronto home, Douglas says the red bag disappeared... Read More

We’ve received an exceptional reaction to our new Prospectus and the 2016/2017 Calendar we mailed out to all our families this summer. Both reflect the new face of Bayview Glen Independent School. This year-long project has had broad based input from many focus groups in the community and we are very proud of the results. Our connector words were carefully chosen to reflect who we are as a school and represent our values. We are also thrilled with the launch of our new website. It showcases... Read More
