Parent Volunteer Spotlight – Sherry Bhide, Parent Association

Sherry Bhide was honoured to be the President of the Bayview Glen Parent Association (2024 and 2025). The Parent Association (PA) President is a liaison between the school and the parent community. In her role as President, Sherry oversaw the running of the Parent Association Executive Committee as well as all PA events, working closely with the school and dedicated PA Executive members. She also worked with the PA Shop Managers and volunteers at the shop. Sherry began volunteering at Bayview Glen as a Class Parent and was on the PA Executive Committee for over 13 years, in many capacities starting with the Gift Sale Co-ordinator, Secretary, and Social Director, just to name a few. Sherry was a proud Bayview Glen parent of over 16 years. Her children, Leela (Class of 2024) and Meena (Grade 12), are loving their time at the school. The family’s connection to the school runs even deeper, as her husband is a proud Alumni, having completed his entire school journey at Bayview Glen. Sherry finds it very fulfilling to be involved. Seeing the smiling faces of the children and adults at events and around the school make her day.
