Academics
Our goal is to provide a rigorous learning environment, giving special consideration to the particular needs, growth and development of the whole child. Balancing challenging academics with an enriching co-curricular programme, students develop the appropriate skills for success at university and beyond. Opportunities for leadership and school community involvement abound and are actively encouraged. With the support of our caring faculty, our Mentor programme and our Student Executive Council, students develop a strong sense of self, ready and eager to pursue their post-secondary dreams.
At the heart of our academic program is our outstanding faculty who are not only teachers but also mentors and coaches. Specifically, our faculty mentor system offers a touchstone for all students. Each Upper School student meets regularly with their mentor group, which includes a faculty member as well as students from every grade. This ensures regular communication and a framework for group support. Over the four years, the mentor comes to know your child very well. The mentor ensures that academically, emotionally and socially each child is supported and encouraged to be the best they can be.

Mentor Programme
New students entering Bayview Glen at the Lower School or Prep School levels are each assigned a buddy, to answer questions and make them feel at home. Host families served a similar role for their parents.
In the move from the Prep School to the Upper School, our faculty mentor system offers a similar, consistent touchstone. Each Upper School student meets regularly with their mentor group, which includes a faculty member as well as students from every grade. This ensures regular communication and a framework for group support. Over the four years, the mentor comes to know your child very well. He or she is your first contact to learn how things are going at any time.
