Arts

At Bayview Glen, we have always placed a strong emphasis on the development of the whole child. We believe that success in educating students comes not only from academic achievements but also through consistent and rigorous involvement in the arts.

Spring is the season in which we celebrate the Arts. Students throughout the school are busy rehearsing and perfecting their artistic endeavours in numerous projects involving music, drama, dance and visual arts.

Regular participation in music and drama helps students master fears associated with public speaking. It builds self-esteem, confidence and character as well as teaches students to be innovative and creative thinkers. The list of personal skills acquired is extensive.

As we provide students with this ‘arts literacy advantage’ they become more creative, analytical, focussed and disciplined, and they build the kind of characteristics that culminate in truly successful and confident adults. We know that people with these skills will be in demand as the world seeks out the thinkers and leaders of tomorrow.
