Letter to parents – mandatory vaccine policy

BVG News, COVID-19

Dear Parents,

As you know, Bayview Glen is committed to providing and maintaining a safe environment. Consistent
with this commitment, the Board of Directors has established a Covid-19 policy as set out in the
attached document.

As you will see, this policy requires that all eligible students (those born 2009 or earlier) and all faculty,
staff, third party providers, volunteers and coaches be vaccinated prior to school in September.

As we continue to see the numbers of Covid-19 increase daily, this added protection is a necessary
step combined with social distancing, mask wearing, cleaning protocols, and hand sanitizing. The
vaccination status of everyone will also be required by Toronto Public Health in the event of an
outbreak.

For students from Preschool to Grade 6, families will have access to a Rapid Testing Programme. We
expect all families to use this Rapid Test App twice a week as another layer of protection for our
youngest students. More detailed information will follow.

Please remember that the first dose of the vaccine is required by September 1st to be eligible for oncampus learning. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact your Assistant Heads.

As always, I thank you for your continued support as we navigate this together and prepare for a safe
and exciting school year.
