Parent AssociationNaghmeh Momeni is the Co-Social Director of the Bayview Glen Parent Association. Naghmeh and her family have been part of the Bayview Glen community for 11 years, with two children currently in Grade 7 and Grade 4. In her role as Co-Social Director, Naghmeh helps plan and organize the Parent Association’s annual social events, including Coffee Socials, the Halloween Fun Fair, the Parent Cocktail Social, and the Family Fun Social, all of which play an important role in bringing the Bayview Glen community together.
Naghmeh’s children have attended Bayview Glen since the age of two, and she values the strong sense of community the school fosters among families. She enjoys collaborating with fellow parent volunteers to create engaging and welcoming events, and is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the vibrant and connected Bayview Glen community.
Parent Volunteer Spotlight – Maryam Hooshyar, Parent Association
Parent AssociationMaryam Hooshyar is one of the Co-Social Directors of the Bayview Glen Parent Association. Maryam is a proud parent of three children: her eldest is in her second year of university, her middle child is in Grade 6, and her youngest is in Grade 4.
This is her 12th year at Bayview Glen and her 11th year serving on the Parent Association team. She began volunteering as soon as her family joined the school, starting as a Class Parent. She also had the pleasure of helping coach the Robotics team for five years while her daughter was part of the Robotics programme.
Together with her wonderful partner, Naghmeh, they are excited to bring engaging and memorable social events to our school community. We are always open to your feedback and new ideas, as we continually strive to make our events even better.
New Year Message from the Parent Association President and Vice President
Parent AssociationAs we settle back into the school routine after winter break, we hope your families are feeling refreshed and ready for the months ahead. February feels like a great time to reconnect, and we are excited to officially begin our term as President and Vice President of the Bayview Glen Parent Association.
While we are not new to the Parent Association, this is our first year serving together in these roles, and we are really looking forward to it. It was wonderful to meet and see so many parents at our January Parent Association Annual General Meeting. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped start the year on such a positive note.
Between us, our children span across various divisions of the school, from Lower School to Prep and Upper Schools. This gives us a shared perspective on the different stages our families experience and helps us better understand the needs of parents across the entire Bayview Glen community.
Our goal is to strengthen connection and communication among our community. We are excited to do this through PA events and initiatives, including the upcoming Parent Cocktail Social in February and the Family Bowling Day in April. We want the Parent Association to feel welcoming, inclusive, and easy to engage with for all families.
We are grateful for the strong foundation built by past parent leaders and look forward to working with you in the months ahead.
Have a great second half of the school year!
Yours truly,
Catherine Sun and Khati Nathoo
President and Vice President
Bayview Glen Parent Association
This year has been one of the most exciting for Athletics at the Prep, and as Heads of the Athletics Committee, we have been proud to help shape it. Sports have always meant a lot to both of us. They’ve taught us teamwork, perseverance, leadership, and how to bring energy to the people around us. Becoming Heads felt like the perfect opportunity to give that same experience back to the Prep community.
